mathcshwk1.emporia.edu was designed to allow students to submit homework electronically. The system allows for homework submission, retrieval and status checking.
To log into the system, go to mathcshwk1.emporia.edu and enter your student ID number (Commonly known as your "E" number. Not your SSN) and your password (initially set to the first letter of your first name (capitalized), followed by the first letter of your last name (lower case) followed by the digits "123456". For example, if your student ID is "E99999999" and your name is Harry Palms, then your user id is "E99999999" and your initial password is "Hp123456"). If you don't know your ESU student ID, go here.
The student function selection screen will appear.
To submit homework, select the submit homework radio button on the student function selection screen and click on the Submit Button. The submit homework screen will appear.
Select the course you wish to submit homework to by selecting the appropriate radio button. Next, click the Select button. A listing of the homework items for the course will appear.
Select the homework you wish to submit by selecting the radio button on the line associated with the item you wish to submit. Next click the Select Assignment button. The submit screen for the item selected will appear.
Use the browse button or type in the location of the file you with to submit. Make sure that the name of the file conforms to the name shown on the screen. You may include a comment of up to 255 characters with your submission. Next, click the Select button. A receipt for your submitted item will appear. You may want to print out or save a copy of your receipt.
You may submit or resubmit any item, any number of time before the due date and time. If you resubmit an item, the previously submitted item will be overwritten and only the most recent submission will remain. Items may not be submitted after the due date and time.
To change your password or email address, select the submit homework radio button on the student function selection screen and click on the Submit Button. The Edit Student Information screen will appear.
Valid passwords must adhere to the following rules:
When done changing items, click the Change Button. A verification will appear that your information has been changed.
To retrieve submissions that you have previously made, select the list submissions radio button on the student function selection screen and click on the Submit Button. A list of your previously made submissions will appear.
Right click on any of the items with links to download an item of interest.
When you are done using the system, click on the Log Off Button. The log off verification screen will appear.
